My dog has watery eyes and is gradually losing hair.?

my dog is a 12 year old daschaund. His eyes are very watery and his hair is thinning on his back. Are these symptoms of anything particular? I have given him benadryl, but after it wears off, his eyes are still watery. There is no sneezing.

Go for a senior wellness check at the vet and re-evaluate his food...it may just be an old age thing, but it also sounds like an allergy.

could be an allergy to something. Did you change his diet? or maybe a cleaner or somehing in the house? Take him to the vet they can tell for sure.

VET CHECK! There are so many things that can cause this from a basic food allergy to some very serious illnesses. At 12 years old, the possibilities are endless. Please, consult a vet!

First, see your vet immediately.

My guess is allergies. Most dog allergies manifest themselves with leaky eyes and skin reactions.
