im losing hair and im only 17, my forhead is just keep geting bigger. will my hair grow back? if not then what can i do? some one please help me.i think its because i use to much gel on my hair but is there a way that it wil grow back by its self or dol have to do somthing to make it grow back. my mum said that when i was a baby my hair took long to grow. thankz

Baldness is pretty hereditary. Is there a history of baldness in your family? Don't just look at your dad's side. Many times, the gene that causes baldness is carried by the mother. Look at your mother (yes women can go bald) and your relatives on your mom's side as well.

What can be done about it? Well, there are different methods out there that are quite pricey (hair plugs) and invasive.

I do not recommend products like Rogaine. There are lots of side effects that accompany products like that (mainly a reduction in sex drive)

Hair gel does not cause baldness.

It may grow back. Because you are 17, many secondary sexual characteristic like hair growth may not fully develop until the late 20's.

Could be chemicals in the gel. Dont put anymore gel in your hair. Infact dont touch your hair just brush it or comb it or w.e u do dont put chemicals in ur hair.
