Hair.. Losing hair in hourglass fashion? help!?

My Hair is rare on the top of my head and is getting rarer by the year. Is there any natural herbs that can help?

I've heard saw palmetto and Dong Qaui could be good ..anyone with any experience?

If you are losing your hair in an hourglass pattern, it must really look horrible. Have you considered burning your hair and letting it grow back? That seems like it would stimulate the follicles to begin growing hair again.

I see you want herbal remedies. If your hair looks as hideous as I suspect it does, I would try every herb possible. Something is bound to work, just make sure to try one thing at a time so you know what it was that worked.

Go to the doctor first and to the salon second. Sounds as if you have male pattern baldness. But it may not be too late. The predisposition of balding is the actual predisposition for a type of Hair follicle blocking excretion on your scalp. So get checked and save what your can and never forget that men who are bald can be soooo sexy!

It's called "male pattern baldness" for a reason. There's a pattern to it! Saw palmetto is good for your prostate, though I advise only using herbs under the supervision of a licensed professional. There are no federal regulations and some can be very dangerous to mix with existing meds and many quite frankly aren't used correctly. There are plenty of remedies for hair loss, includeing topical, oral and more invasive methods. I am glad you are ready to do something about your hair loss. Seeking help at a clinic specializing in that sort of thing is probably the best step but you can talk to your health care professional before making that sort of decision. Good luck.

Have you considered cutting off hair from other parts of your body and gluing it to your head? If you have a hairy back, you should be in good shape even as you lose more and more hair.

Go see a dermatologist about it, trust me. :)
